Located in Wufeng Township, Hsinchu, near Guanwu Forest Recreation Area, at an altitude of 1,923 meters, Shei-Pa Leisure Farm offers the most comfortable and luxurious accommodation option for those traveling to Qingquan Hot Springs and Shei-Pa National Park. The farm owners, a husband and wife, worked together to create a paradise-like accommodation environment.

The farm's owner, Fan Zengda, previously worked at the Agricultural Research Institute, as a technical representative for BASF's pesticide division, and in marketing for the Xingnong Group. Years ago, he resigned from his high-paying job at BASF and moved to the mountains with his wife to farm. For the first eight years, without electricity or running water and lacking transportation, they relied on candlelight at night, and fruit had to be carried manually and then transported down the mountain by small truck. While many might find this difficult period unrealistic, for Fan Zengda, it was a fulfilling and precious time. Now, more than a decade after its transformation from a simple orchard into the Shei-Pa Leisure Farm, the farm's scenery and features have become cherished memories for many.

The farm boasts a secluded paradise environment with modern accommodations. The cabins are renovated annually, and all necessary toiletries are provided. The showers have ample water pressure, allowing guests to enjoy a relaxing hot bath. Towels, sheets, and duvet covers are transported down the mountain daily for washing and disinfection.

By employing the latest agricultural technology, they have successfully cultivated signature kiwifruit and mini blueberries.

Farm owner Fan Zengda spends one to two months each year during the off-season to travel abroad to study the latest agricultural technologies. Among various flowers, fruits, and vegetables, kiwifruit and blueberries are the most representative brands. In 1985, kiwifruit was still a high-priced imported product. With the encouragement of Mr. Lee Teng-hui, who was then the governor of Taiwan Province, and the general manager of the Taiwan Fruit Society, Fan Zengda successfully cultivated the first batch of native kiwifruit, making the price of kiwifruit more affordable.

In 1989, Fan Zengda successfully introduced and cultivated blueberry seedlings from Germany, once again breaking records in Taiwan's agricultural history. The farm is now a sizable blueberry production area in Taiwan, with orchards exceeding one hectare in size producing 3 metric tons of blueberries annually. Hotel guests can enjoy free guided tours of the farm or participate in various activities at their own expense, such as making blueberry jam and vinegar.

Fresh fruits and vegetables complement unique dishes, combining culinary delights with farm specialties.

The farm boasts a Chinese restaurant, a Western restaurant, and a cloud-themed café. Whether it's a Chinese or Western buffet or a healthy fruit meal, all dishes are made with fresh vegetables and farm-grown produce. The Chinese and Western restaurants offer unique and unconventional dishes, with the chefs even using farm-picked flowers for plating, combining farm specialties with the cuisine. The cloud-themed café offers delicious cakes, fruit teas, freshly ground coffee, Italian pizzas, and other sweet and savory treats. Its outdoor garden, surrounded by forests and a sea of clouds, offers expansive views that leave visitors in awe!

The farm cultivates a variety of flowers and fruits, including cherry blossoms, peonies, hydrangeas, and the nearly extinct Impatiens balsamina in early spring. In autumn, visitors can also see the rare red maple leaves, ensuring a diverse array of floral delights throughout the year. Furthermore, the owner of Shei-Pa Leisure Farm will generously share his experience with visitors interested in learning about organic composting, environmental recycling techniques, and pesticide knowledge.
